DBR525LT installs directly into the factory rear bump stop location on the 2007–2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser—no cutting, welding, or adapters required. It’s specifically engineered to meet the installation and performance requirements of Dobinsons Spring & Suspension LT kits (shock part numbers ending in -575) and Apache Offroad’s AX2-30R 12” rear shock systems.

Both of these performance suspension kits require a 3-inch extended bump stop to prevent the longer 12” shock body from over-compressing during full suspension compression. DBR525LT delivers that added bump height—reducing up-travel to protect the shock shaft, mounts, and brackets under aggressive off-road conditions.

This taller bump stop engages 3 inches sooner than OEM. To ensure safe and proper suspension operation, your FJ Cruiser must maintain a true 3-inch rear lift at ride height while fully packed with fuel, passengers, gear, and accessories. This allows the 12” shock enough stroke to control axle movement before bump stop engagement. Without this lift, the bump stop may engage too early—resulting in harsh bottom-outs and potentially dangerous handling.
