These setups feature long-travel shocks that require taller bump stops to manage full compression and protect against damage. The DBR525LT provides the exact extended height needed for safe and effective operation.
⚠️ Important Fitment Note: Your 4th Gen 4Runner must have a true 3-inch rear lift at ride height when fully loaded (passengers, gear, fuel, accessories). This ensures proper shock stroke before bump stop engagement. Without adequate lift, premature contact can cause harsh bottom-outs and unsafe handling. When used on properly lifted builds, DBR525LT enhances bottom-out control, protects suspension components, and improves ride quality—whether you're trail riding, hauling gear, or highway cruising.

DBR525LT is designed for one job: to protect 12-inch rear shocks on properly lifted 4th Gen 4Runners using either Dobinsons LT kits or Apache Offroad’s AX2-30R shocks. It bolts directly into the factory bump stop location with no cutting, welding, or adapters required.
Because the 12-inch shock body is physically 3 inches longer than stock, the DBR525LT must reduce suspension up-travel by an equal 3 inches to avoid over-compression. This bump stop engages sooner than OEM, which helps protect the shock—but it also shortens the window in which the shock can slow up-travel forces.
That’s why we require a true 3-inch rear suspension lift at ride height while fully loaded (including gear, passengers, fuel, and accessories). This amount of lift gives the shock enough stroke to do its job of slowing the up travel inertia before the bump stops engage.
